Oil and gas exploration and pipeline sites are often remote and boggy, and that is exactly where ground protection mats earn their keep. Heavy-duty and bog mats build a working platform and haul road where importing stone is slow, costly, or simply impractical to truck in.

Rig mats built for the conditions

A general access mat is not formulated for the rig floor. Purpose-built rig mats — oilfield mats that resist spilled hydrocarbons and drilling fluids — carry an anti-static formulation for work around the rig and stay serviceable from deep cold to desert heat, the duty an oilfield demands of its matting.

Protect sensitive land

Mats keep heavy plant off the soil, limiting disturbance to wetlands and protected ground and easing the restoration and permit conditions that come with a lease. Less ground disturbance during the campaign means less reinstatement work — and fewer regulatory headaches — when you demobilise.

Stable platforms for plant

A linked mat platform spreads the load of rigs, tanks, and cranes so equipment does not settle on soft ground mid-operation. On a lease pad or a setback area, that stable, level standing is a safety requirement, not a nicety.

Reusable across campaigns

Durable HDPE panels are recovered and redeployed from well to well — the same reuse that pays off in everyday construction site access — lowering cost per location over a multi-well or multi-spread programme. High salvage value at the end of a 10–15 year life is part of why operators specify HDPE over single-use timber.
