Interlocking Access Mat

A locked surface that will not shift

The interlocking access mat solves the problem of mats creeping apart under traffic. Overlapping flanges and twist-lock pins tie each mat to its neighbours, so a run behaves like one continuous surface instead of a row of separate boards that hop and separate as wheels cross the joints.

Tool-light assembly

Mats lock together with a simple hex key — no loose hardware to drop in the mud and lose. The same system that speeds installation speeds lifting at the end of the job, and the sealed joints stop mud pumping up between mats, which is what turns a tidy temporary road into a mess after a week of rain.

Sizing and ground

Available from 4×8 ft up to 7.5×14 ft and 1/2–4 in thick, so you can match the mat to the load and the softness of the ground. The quoted figures — up to ~120 t spread and ~600 psi point — assume a competent sub-grade; for heavier point loads use a heavy-duty ground protection mat, and over very soft ground move to an extra-heavy bog mat.

Where it is used

Temporary haul roads, works-and-pedestrian separation, and pipeline right-of-way — anywhere a connected, shift-free surface matters more than the speed of a loose lay.
